Our Story

ROOST was founded by
David & Ruth in 2015.

We met in 2004 in Cleethorpes. David worked as a Youth worker, and I was a Textile designer. In 2011 we sold our house and using the proceeds moved from Lincolnshire to North Yorkshire with our little girl to fulfil the dream of running our own business in the coffee industry.

We ran a successful speciality coffee shop for 3 years, before establishing ROOST Coffee & Roastery in the summer of 2015.

With a young daughter and a new baby, we wanted to create a business that worked not only for our family but was also an integral part of the community. To us, the business has always been about building long lasting relationships with our customers, neighbours, suppliers, and our growing team.

We are looking forward to bringing you more amazing speciality coffee for many years to come.
