The story of Finca El Poste is one of resilience, perseverance, and family unity. There was a time when Guillermo Montenegro Ayestas almost lost everything, the farm was seized by the bank and put up for auction. Several bidders tried to purchase it at a low price, but the bank rejected their offers, giving Guillermo a crucial window to recover financially and reclaim the land that had been in his family for years.
For over two decades, Guillermo and his family have dedicated themselves to producing exceptional coffee. Working side by side, each member contributes wherever needed. There are no fixed roles, only teamwork and determination. Their commitment has paid off. Since 2011, their coffee has been consistently recognised in the Cup of Excellence, reaching 7th place in 2017.
