The Estate of Ratnagiri in Bababudangiri, Western Ghats was established in 1920 and is owned and operated by Ashok Patre, having been passed down from grandfather, to father, to son. This is a world class farm sitting at 1350 masl and truly one of the leading in India.
This is an extended carbonic maceration natural processed coffee of the Hemavathi varietal. The coffee was inoculated with a mix of different lab-grown cultures. The tanks were then purged with carbon dioxide gas, and the coffee then fermented for 96 hours. It is then dried on raised beds with continuous stirring for 31 days.
