This natural lot comes from Gotiti, in Gedeb woreda, and is processed at a drying station in Banko Gotiti that is exclusively rented and managed by Ephtah Specialty Coffee. The coffee is made up of local heirloom cultivars and is purchased from an exclusive supplier working with nearby farmers during the late November to January harvest period.
Ephtah Specialty Coffee works to build sustainable and collaborative supply chains across Ethiopia, with a focus on quality, long-term relationships and support for producer communities. The company pre-financed 85% of this lot, helping to support the purchasing and preparation of coffee through the season. Ephtah also places emphasis on the role of women in the coffee industry, recognising their importance in both coffee production and broader social and economic development. The wider Gedeb area is one of Ethiopia’s best-known coffee-producing regions and is closely associated with high-quality washed and naturally processed coffees.
